The Samsung Galaxy A80 is a bit better than Xperia 5, with an 84.9 score against 81. Although it's the best in this review, we must tell that it is also extremely heavier and somewhat thicker. The Sony Xperia 5 features a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A80, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little higher 1080 x 2520 resolution and a little bit greater screen pixel density.
The Xperia 5 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A80, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores. The Xperia 5 has a much greater memory for applications and games than Galaxy A80, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Xperia 5 also has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
Samsung Galaxy A80 takes much clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A80 also counts with a way higher resolution camera and a lot larger sensor capturing much higher quality photographs.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 features longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 3700mAh battery size.
