Comparison review
The Galaxy A9 (2018) is much better than the Asus ROG Phone, with an 85.2 score against 77.1. Although the Galaxy A9 (2018) and Asus ROG Phone were released only a couple of months apart, the Galaxy A9 (2018) is just a bit lighter and just a little thinner. Asus ROG Phone features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy A9 (2018), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ROG Phone also has more RAM.
Asus ROG Phone counts with a little sharper display than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a bit smaller display and a bit worse 1080 x 2160px resolution, it also counts with a just a little higher screen density. Asus ROG Phone features a very superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) shoots greater pictures and videos than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has slower video frame rate and a tinier sensor taking less light and dull colors, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) also counts with a bigger camera aperture to take better captures and video in poorly lited environments.
Asus ROG Phone has a little better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a 5 percent greater battery capacity.
