Galaxy XCover 6 Pro has an overall score of 77.6, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016)'s 74.4 score. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro has older 12 version while Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Galaxy XCover 6 Pro's construction is much newer than the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016)'s, although it is somewhat heavier and much thicker.

Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, although it has a quite smaller screen, a just a bit less pixels per inch of display and a bit worse 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro features a lot bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 1 TB.

Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) counts with a much powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) features improved battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), because although it has a much tinier sensor capturing lot worse quality videos and pictures, it also counts with a way higher 50 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back and a larger aperture.
