Xiaomi Redmi 9T's body is much newer and just a little lighter, but somewhat thicker than the Galaxy A9 Pro (2016). Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Redmi 9T has the older 10 version and Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
