Xperia TL is better than Galaxy Beam, with a overall score of 66.1 against 58.7. These devices use Android OS, but Xperia TL has newer 4.1 version and Galaxy Beam has Android 2.3.6. Even though Xperia TL and Galaxy Beam were released only a couple months apart, Xperia TL's construction is a bit heavier but also incredibly thinner than Galaxy Beam.
The Xperia TL counts with a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Beam, because it has a quite larger screen, a better display pixel density and a lot better resolution of 1280 x 720px. Xperia TL has much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Beam, and although they both have a SD card slot that holds up to 32 GB, the Xperia TL also has more internal storage.
The Sony Xperia TL counts with a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Beam, because although it has a weaker graphics co-processor, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia TL also counts with 256 MB more RAM. Galaxy Beam features a bit longer battery performance than Xperia TL, because it has an 8% bigger battery capacity.
The Sony Xperia TL shoots much better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Beam, because it has a way better (Full HD) video definition and a much better resolution back facing camera.
Xperia TL is a bit more expensive than Galaxy Beam, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
