The Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ is slightly better than Galaxy Grand, having a overall score of 65 against 60.1. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ has a more recent 4.4.4 version while Galaxy Grand has Android 4.2.2 version, providing the user some nice extra features. The Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ body is somewhat thinner and notably lighter than Galaxy Grand, although both of them were released only 2 months apart.

The Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ features a way better hardware performance than Galaxy Grand, because it has more CPU cores, an extra graphics co-processor and 1 GB more RAM. Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ has better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Grand, because it has a 2500mAh battery size.
