The Huawei Mate Xs is a lot better than the Galaxy J5 (2017), getting a 91.6 score against 71.8. Huawei Mate Xs is a much newer cellphone than Galaxy J5 (2017), but it is noticeably heavier and noticeably thicker. The Huawei Mate Xs features a faster processor than Galaxy J5 (2017), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate Xs also has more RAM memory.
Huawei Mate Xs features a more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), because it has a much higher 2200 x 2480px resolution, a much larger screen and more pixels per screen inch. The Huawei Mate Xs captures much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low light images and video, it also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 video resolution and a back facing camera with a lot better resolution.
