Comparison review
Galaxy S6 Active has a general score of 80.9, which is much better than the Galaxy J5 (2017)'s score of 71.8. The Galaxy S6 Active body is somewhat thicker but a lot lighter than Galaxy J5 (2017). Galaxy S6 Active has a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy J5 (2017), because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much better pixel count per screen inch and a way better 2560 x 1440 resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) has a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, although it has less internal memory capacity. Galaxy S6 Active features a quite better performance than Galaxy J5 (2017), and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy S6 Active also has a graphics processor, a 64-bit processing unit and a higher amount of RAM.
The Galaxy S6 Active has just a bit better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), because it has a 3500mAh battery size. Galaxy J5 (2017) shoots slightly better photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a back camera with lesser mega-pixels resolution and a much worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to take better captures and videos in low light environments.
