Comparison review
The Galaxy S8 is better than the Galaxy J5 (2017), with a general score of 81.7 against 71.8. The Galaxy S8 is a just a little bit lighter cellphone than Galaxy J5 (2017), but both of them are equally thin. The Samsung Galaxy S8 features a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), because it has a lot better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution, a little bit larger screen and a lot better pixel quantity per display inch.
The Galaxy S8 has a way bigger storage to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB, the Galaxy S8 also has 64 GB internal memory. Galaxy S8 counts with just a bit better processing power than Galaxy J5 (2017), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S8 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) count with very similar battery performance. Samsung Galaxy S8 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017), because although it has a camera in the back with lesser mega-pixels, and they both have a F1.7 aperture, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also counts with a much higher (4K) video quality.
