Huawei Mate X is much better than Galaxy J7 Star, getting a overall score of 89.4 against 73.1. Huawei Mate X is a newer cellphone than the Galaxy J7 Star, although it is incredibly thicker and incredibly heavier. Both phones in this comparison come with the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that.
The Huawei Mate X has a more vivid display than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a much larger display, a lot higher resolution of 2200 x 2480 and a way higher screen density. Huawei Mate X features just a bit better processing power than Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei Mate X also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Huawei Mate X counts with a superior memory to install games and applications than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Huawei Mate X has greater battery duration than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a 36% larger battery size. Galaxy J7 Star counts with a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a much smaller back camera sensor capturing less light and duller colors and a camera in the back with lot less mega pixels, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
