LG V40 ThinQ is much better than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, getting an 81.2 score against 73.1. Both devices in this comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but the LG V40 ThinQ has 10 version and Samsung Galaxy J7 Star has Android 9.0 Pie. LG V40 ThinQ's body is just a bit lighter and somewhat thinner than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, although both of them were released with only a couple months difference.
The LG V40 ThinQ counts with a lot better screen than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a larger screen, a way better screen density and a way higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px. LG V40 ThinQ features a superior processing power than Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG V40 ThinQ also has 4 GB more RAM.
LG V40 ThinQ has a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a back camera with a lower 12 MP resolution, it also counts with a bigger sensor, a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a bigger aperture for better low light captures and video. The LG V40 ThinQ has a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB.

Although LG V40 ThinQ is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy J7 Star. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy LG V40 ThinQ, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy J7 Star, giving up some specifications.
