The Galaxy A71 is better than the Galaxy J7 Star, having a score of 87.5 against 73.1. These phones have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy A71 has the older 11 version and Galaxy J7 Star has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Galaxy A71 construction is newer, somewhat thinner and a little lighter than the Galaxy J7 Star.
Galaxy A71 counts with a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A71 also has 4 GB more RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy A71 features a better screen than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a bigger screen, a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and more pixels per inch of screen.
Galaxy A71 counts with a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB and more internal storage capacity. Although Samsung Galaxy A71 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy J7 Star, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy J7 Star. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy A71, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy J7 Star, giving up a couple features and specs.
