Comparison review
Galaxy S9 is better than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, getting an 83.3 score against 73.1. The Galaxy S9 construction is just a bit thinner and just a bit lighter than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, although they were released only a couple of months apart. Samsung Galaxy S9 has a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because it has a lot higher pixels density, a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and a little bit larger display.
Samsung Galaxy S9 features a much greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has 64 GB internal storage. Samsung Galaxy S9 has a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a higher amount of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a much better camera than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a back-facing camera with a worse 12 MP resolution, it also counts with a larger aperture to take better photography and videos in poorly lited environments, a larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a way higher (4K) video quality.
Galaxy J7 Star counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S9, because it has a 10 percent more battery capacity.
Galaxy S9 is way more expensive than Galaxy J7 Star, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
