Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is much better than the Galaxy J7 Star, getting an 83.8 score against 73.1. Xiaomi Mi Mix 3's design is a little thinner but heavier than Galaxy J7 Star, and both of them were only released with a couple months difference. Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 features a faster CPU than Galaxy J7 Star, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 also has a higher amount of RAM.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has a much better camera than Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has a lower 12.2 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for capturing pictures and videos in low light situations, it also counts with a way better (4K) video resolution and a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 counts with a much greater memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 224 GB more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy J7 Star has just a bit longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, because it has a 3% larger battery capacity.
