Samsung Galaxy M31s has a global score of 88, which is much better than Xperia XZ1's 78.3 score. Although the Samsung Galaxy M31s is extremely newer than Xperia XZ1, it's incredibly heavier and noticeably thicker. Sony Xperia XZ1 features a processor that is very similar to Galaxy M31s's processing unit, and although the Sony Xperia XZ1 has less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
Sony Xperia XZ1 has a slightly better looking display than Samsung Galaxy M31s, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a way smaller display, it also counts with a just a little higher pixels quantity in each inch of display. The Xperia XZ1 counts with a bit more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy M31s, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows up to 1,95 TB.
The Samsung Galaxy M31s takes better pictures and videos than Xperia XZ1, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also has a bigger aperture, a lot more mega-pixels back camera and a way larger sensor providing a lot better image quality.
