Comparison review
Galaxy M40 is slightly better than HTC One M9, getting a overall score of 85 against 77.7. The Galaxy M40 is a much newer and thinner device than the HTC One M9, although it's a little bit heavier. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy M40 has 10 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, so it gives you a couple additional features and a performance increase.
The HTC One M9 features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64 bits processor and an additional graphics processor. HTC One M9 features a more vivid screen than Galaxy M40, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch of screen.
Galaxy M40 features much more storage capacity for apps and games than HTC One M9, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy M40 features just a bit better camera than HTC One M9, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking less light and washed colors, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Galaxy M40 also counts with a way larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photography and videos and a camera in the back with much more mega-pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 features improved battery life than HTC One M9, because it has a 3500mAh battery capacity against 2840mAh.
