Comparison review
The Galaxy M40 is better than the Moto Z3 Play, getting an 85 score against 76.3. The Galaxy M40 construction is newer, but somewhat thicker and just a bit heavier than the Moto Z3 Play. The Galaxy M40 features a bit faster processing unit than Moto Z3 Play, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Galaxy M40 also has more RAM memory.
Galaxy M40 has a little more vivid screen than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because it has a quite bigger screen, a bit higher 1080 x 2340 resolution and a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. Moto Z3 Play features a bit bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy M40, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Samsung Galaxy M40 features a bit better battery life than Moto Z3 Play, because it has a 17 percent greater battery capacity. Galaxy M40 counts with a much better camera than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a tinier sensor offering a lower image quality, and they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy M40 also counts with a back-facing camera with a lot better resolution.
