Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy M40 is just a bit better than the Galaxy A31, having an 85 score against 81.3. Despite of the fact that Samsung Galaxy M40 is older than Galaxy A31, it's body is just a little thinner and just a little lighter. Both phones we are comparing here come with the same Android 10 OS. Samsung Galaxy M40 and Galaxy A31 count with extremely similar displays, although the Galaxy A31 also has a just a bit greater display density, a little bit larger screen and a little higher 1080 x 2400px resolution.
Samsung Galaxy M40 features a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A31, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has more RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy M40 counts with a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A31, and although they both have an external memory slot that allows up to 512 GB, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has 64 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Galaxy A31 features a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity. The Galaxy A31 captures a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy A31 also counts with a back camera with a much higher resolution and a way larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
