Comparison review
Galaxy M40 has a global score of 85, which is just a bit better than Xperia 10 III's score of 83.7. Both phones we compare here include Android OS, but Galaxy M40 has older 10 version and Xperia 10 III has Android 11 version. Even though the Galaxy M40 is older than Xperia 10 III, it's construction is a bit thinner and a bit lighter.
Sony Xperia 10 III and Galaxy M40 both have very similar CPUs, both have 8 CPU cores and the same RAM amount. The Sony Xperia 10 III features a little more vivid display than Galaxy M40, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels and a little bit higher pixel amount in each inch of screen.
Xperia 10 III features a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Galaxy M40, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Xperia 10 III also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB. Galaxy M40 counts with a much better camera than Xperia 10 III, and although they both have the same video frame rate, a 0.36 inches back-facing camera sensor and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Galaxy M40 also has a back facing camera with way more mega pixels and a larger aperture.
