Samsung Galaxy M40 has a score of 85, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Black Shark's overall score of 80.4. Both devices in this review include Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy M40 has the previous 10 version and Xiaomi Black Shark has Android 9.0 Pie. The Samsung Galaxy M40 body is newer, somewhat thinner and lighter than the Xiaomi Black Shark.
The Xiaomi Black Shark counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy M40, although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2160px, a just a bit lower display density and a quite smaller display. Galaxy M40 has a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Black Shark, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Galaxy M40 also has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
Xiaomi Black Shark features a little bit better performance than Galaxy M40, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark also has more RAM. The Xiaomi Black Shark features just a little better battery life than Galaxy M40, because it has a 14 percent more battery size. The Samsung Galaxy M40 has a better camera than Xiaomi Black Shark, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a camera in the back with a much higher 32 mega pixels resolution, a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better captures in low-light environments and a larger sensor providing a better image quality.
