Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy M40 has a global score of 85, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7's overall score of 80.3. Although Samsung Galaxy M40 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 were released with only a few months difference, Samsung Galaxy M40 is a bit lighter and just a little bit thinner. Samsung Galaxy M40 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 feature very similar processing units, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Galaxy M40 count with extremely similar screens, they have the same screen pixels density, a display of the same size and the same 1080 x 2340 resolution. The Samsung Galaxy M40 counts with slightly more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 counts with just a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 shoots a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for capturing images and video in low light situations, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 also counts with a much more megapixels back camera, better video frame rate and a much larger sensor.
