Comparison review

LG V30S ThinQ is just a bit better than Galaxy Note 5, having an 82.5 score against 79.3. Both devices we compare here work with Android OS, but LG V30S ThinQ has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1. The LG V30S ThinQ is a much newer device, and it is also just a bit lighter and a bit thinner than the Galaxy Note 5.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 counts with just a bit better looking display than LG V30S ThinQ, although it has a quite lower 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, a bit worse pixel quantity per display inch and a little bit smaller screen. The LG V30S ThinQ has a quite superior hardware performance than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a greater number of cores (and also faster) and 2 GB more RAM.

LG V30S ThinQ counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has an external SD slot that supports up to 1,95 TB and more internal storage capacity. LG V30S ThinQ features a bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 10% more battery capacity.

Galaxy Note 5 counts with just a bit better camera than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for shooting images in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video frame rates, a back-facing camera with a 16 MP and the same (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a larger sensor.

Although LG V30S ThinQ is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Note 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Note 5. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the LG V30S ThinQ, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Note 5, letting go a couple specs and features.
