The Apple iPhone 8 has a global score of 85, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge's 81.7 score. Apple iPhone 8's design is much newer, thinner and somewhat lighter than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge counts with a better display than iPhone 8, because it has a larger screen, a lot more pixels per screen inch and a lot better resolution of 2560 x 1440px.
The Apple iPhone 8 has a much greater memory for apps and games than Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory. IPhone 8 counts with just a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with 2 more cpu cores and a 64 bits processor.
The iPhone 8 counts with a slightly better camera than Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, a worse (4K) video quality and a lot less MP resolution back camera, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light photography.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge counts with a really longer battery duration than iPhone 8, because it has a 3000mAh battery size.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Note Edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Note Edge. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the iPhone 8, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy Note Edge, resigning a couple specifications.
