Comparison review

The Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition's general score of 80.4. Xperia 1's body is newer than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition's, but it's a little thicker and a bit heavier. Sony Xperia 1 has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.

The Xperia 1 features a sharper display than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because it has a higher 1644 x 3840px resolution, a quite greater pixels amount in each inch of screen and a quite larger screen. Xperia 1 features a superior storage to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a SD memory slot that supports up to 512 GB.

The Sony Xperia 1 has just a bit better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity. The Xperia 1 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has slower 24 frames per second video frame rates and a tinier sensor capturing less light and duller colors, and they both have the same video quality and a same resolution back facing camera, the Xperia 1 also counts with a bigger aperture to take better low-light photos.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Note Fan Edition. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Note Fan Edition, resigning a couple specs and features.
