The Google Nexus 5 has an overall score of 76, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Note II's score of 74.8. Google Nexus 5's design is newer, incredibly lighter and just a little thinner than the Galaxy Note II. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but the Google Nexus 5 has a more recent 4.4.3 version and Galaxy Note II has Android 4.4.2 version, so it counts with some additional features.

The Google Nexus 5 has a better looking display than Galaxy Note II, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1920 x 1080px resolution and a lot better display pixel density. Samsung Galaxy Note II features much more memory capacity to install games and applications than Google Nexus 5, because it has an external memory card slot that admits up to 64 GB and more internal memory.

The Google Nexus 5 features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Note II, although it has a slower 450 megahertz graphics processor, they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount. The Google Nexus 5 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Note II. They have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a 8 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and the same (Full HD) video definition.

Samsung Galaxy Note II counts with a superior battery duration than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 35% larger battery capacity.

Although Google Nexus 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Note II, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Note II. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Google Nexus 5, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Note II, letting go a couple features and specs.
