Xperia 5 is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note II, with a global score of 81 against 74.8. The Xperia 5 is a newer device, and it is also somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than Samsung Galaxy Note II. The Sony Xperia 5 features a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Note II, because it has a quite bigger display, a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a way better number of pixels per inch of screen.

Sony Xperia 5 has a bit better processing power than Galaxy Note II, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with 4 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores. Sony Xperia 5 has a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy Note II, because it has a back facing camera with lot more megapixels and a much better video resolution.

The Xperia 5 counts with a much bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note II, because it has 64 GB more internal storage and an external SD slot that supports up to 512 GB. Xperia 5's battery duration is just as good as the Galaxy Note II one, although the Xperia 5 also has 3140mAh of battery capacity instead of 3100mAh.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Note II, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Note II. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia 5, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Note II, letting go a couple features and specs.
