Xperia XZ1 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note II, getting a general score of 78.3 against 74.8. The Xperia XZ1 is a newer cellphone, and it's also somewhat lighter and notably thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Sony Xperia XZ1 features a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Note II, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with much more pixels per inch of display and a much better resolution of 1080 x 1920.

Xperia XZ1 features a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note II, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Xperia XZ1 also has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Sony Xperia XZ1 has just a little better processing power than Galaxy Note II, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores and more RAM memory.

Galaxy Note II counts with better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has a 15 percent bigger battery size. Sony Xperia XZ1 takes greater photographs and videos than Galaxy Note II, because it has a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.

Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Note II, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Note II. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ1, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Note II, letting go a couple specs and features.
