Galaxy S10 5G has a general score of 93.6, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy A42's 87 score. Despite of the fact Galaxy S10 5G is older and just a little bit heavier than the Galaxy A42, it's design is still a little bit thinner. Both of these phones use the same Android 11 operating system, so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G features a lot better looking display than Galaxy A42, because it has much more pixels per inch of display, a much better 1440 x 3040 resolution and a quite larger screen. Galaxy A42 counts with a better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S10 5G, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.
Galaxy S10 5G features a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy S10 5G also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy A42 features just a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4500mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a little bit better camera than Galaxy S10 5G, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low light photography and video and slower video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a lot more mega pixels back facing camera.
