Comparison review
The Galaxy S22 is better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, getting a 93.4 score against 81.9. Galaxy S22's design is way newer, notably thinner and somewhat lighter than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. Galaxy S22 features a little bit better performance than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy S22 also has more RAM memory.
Galaxy S22 features a sharper display than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a lot worse 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a way lower display density, it also counts with a quite larger screen. Galaxy S8 Active features slightly more memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S22, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S22, because it has an 8 percent larger battery size. The Galaxy S22 takes much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for low-light images and videos, it also counts with a way larger camera sensor taking lot higher quality photographs and videos, a way more mega-pixels camera in the back and a way better 7680x4320 video resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy S22 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S22, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, giving up some features and specs.
