Galaxy Alpha has an overall score of 76.3, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy S4 Active's 71.7 score. The Galaxy Alpha is a way thinner and noticeably lighter device than Galaxy S4 Active. These devices come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Alpha has a newer 4.4.4 version and Galaxy S4 Active has Android 4.4 version.

The Galaxy S4 Active features a little bit better display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a better pixel amount per display inch, a much higher 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little larger screen. The Galaxy Alpha features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy S4 Active, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM and 4 cpu cores, the Galaxy Alpha also has a faster graphics co-processor running at 450 MHz.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active counts with a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 64 GB. Galaxy Alpha captures a lot better pictures and videos than Galaxy S4 Active, because it has a back facing camera with a way higher 12 MP resolution and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.

Galaxy S4 Active counts with a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 40 percent more battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Alpha is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S4 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S4 Active. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy S4 Active, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
