The Motorola DROID Turbo has an overall score of 77.9, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active's global score of 75.6. Both of these phones use the same Android 4.4.4 OS, so you shouldn't see any differences regarding that. Even being the best phone in this review, the Motorola DROID Turbo is an a little heavier and way thicker phone than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active.
The Motorola DROID Turbo counts with just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Motorola DROID Turbo also has a greater amount of RAM memory and a much better GPU working at 500 MHz. Motorola DROID Turbo features a little bit better looking display than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a greater count of pixels per display inch, a quite bigger screen and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Motorola DROID Turbo counts with more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Motorola DROID Turbo has a very superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 39% larger battery size.
Motorola DROID Turbo has a superior camera than Galaxy S5 Active, because although it has lower 24 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same video resolution, the Motorola DROID Turbo also counts with a back camera with lot more MP.
