Comparison review
The Galaxy Note Edge is a little bit better than the Galaxy S5 Active, with an 81.7 score against 75.6. The Galaxy Note Edge construction is just a bit heavier but a little bit thinner than the Galaxy S5 Active, and both of them were only released 2 months apart. These phones have Android operating system, but Galaxy Note Edge has a more recent 5.0 version while Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4 version.
The Galaxy Note Edge features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S5 Active, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Galaxy Note Edge also has a much better graphics co-processor and a larger amount of RAM. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge features just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a better resolution of 2560 x 1440, a little bit bigger screen and a bit greater display density.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge captures much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy S5 Active. They have a 16 mega-pixels resolution back camera, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rate. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge counts with a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S5 Active, and although they both have a SD card slot that supports up to 128 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge also has 32 GB internal storage capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a bit better battery life than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 3000mAh battery size against 2800mAh.
Although Galaxy Note Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S5 Active. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy S5 Active, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
