Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, having a general score of 79.3 against 75.6. Both phones in our current comparison come with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has the newer 5.1 version and Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4, so it provides the user some nice extra features. The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is a newer cellphone, and it's also lighter and extremely thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active.
The Galaxy S5 Active features a quite superior processing power than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics processing unit and more cores. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a bit more pixels per inch in the display, a higher 2560 x 1440 resolution and a little bigger display.
The Galaxy S6 edge+ captures much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Active. Both have a same resolution back-facing camera, the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution. Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a greater storage to install applications and games than Galaxy S5 Active, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy S6 edge+ has just a bit better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 7 percent more battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S6 edge+ is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S5 Active. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy S6 edge+, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S5 Active, giving up a couple specifications.
