Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 5s is a little bit better than Galaxy S5 Active, getting a 76.4 score against 75.6. The Xiaomi Mi 5s is a a lot newer phone, and it is also a little bit thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S5 Active. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi 5s has the newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Galaxy S5 Active has Android 4.4.4 version, offering lots of additional features.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has a slightly better display than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have an equal 1920 x 1080 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active also counts with a little greater pixel density. Xiaomi Mi 5s has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S5 Active, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active counts with a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have 4 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active also counts with a graphics processing unit. The Xiaomi Mi 5s has a bit superior battery life than Galaxy S5 Active, because it has a 3200mAh battery size.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, although it has a lower 3840x2160 video resolution and a way less mega-pixels camera in the back.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S5 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S5 Active. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 5s, else you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S5 Active, giving up some features and specs.
