Both phones in this comparison work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy S5 Plus has 4.4.2 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0. The Galaxy S5 Plus construction is just a little bit lighter and thinner than HTC One M9, although they were released only 8 months apart.

The HTC One M9 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a greater amount of RAM memory, a 64-bits CPU, a better graphics processor running at 600 MHz and more processing cores. HTC One M9 has a little more vivid display than Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 resolution, the HTC One M9 also counts with a bit better pixel quantity per inch of display.

The HTC One M9 captures just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the HTC One M9 also has a larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a camera in the back with more mega-pixels.
