The Motorola edge is better than Galaxy S5 Plus, getting a general score of 89.6 against 78.1. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but Motorola edge has the previous 10 version and Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2. Motorola edge's construction is extremely newer, but somewhat thicker and notably heavier than Galaxy S5 Plus.

The Galaxy S5 Plus features a brighter display than Motorola edge, because although it has a way smaller display and a little worse resolution of 1920 x 1080, it also counts with a bit greater pixel number in each display inch. Motorola edge features a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB and 256 GB internal memory capacity.

Motorola edge's CPU is just as good as the processing unit in Galaxy S5 Plus, because although the Motorola edge has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with 4 GB more RAM and 4 more cpu cores (although slower). Motorola edge takes way better pictures and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Motorola edge also has a way larger sensor providing a much higher image quality, a lot more MP back-facing camera and a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better images and videos in low-light situations.

The Motorola edge has a much better battery life than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 2800mAh.

Motorola edge is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S5 Plus, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
