Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy M40 is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, with an 85 score against 78.1. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy M40 has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has Android 4.4.2 version. The Samsung Galaxy M40 is a noticeably newer and a little thinner phone than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, although it's also heavier.

Galaxy S5 Plus features a bit faster processor than Galaxy M40, because although it has less CPU cores (but faster) and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processor. Galaxy S5 Plus has a much better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080, it also counts with a quite better display density.

The Galaxy M40 counts with a better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor capturing lower quality videos and pictures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy M40 also counts with a way bigger diafragm aperture and a much higher 32 mega pixels resolution back camera.

Galaxy M40 features a much bigger storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 512 GB. Galaxy M40 has improved battery lifetime than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 3500mAh battery size.
