The iPhone 8 is a bit better than Galaxy S6, having a score of 85 against 83.5. IPhone 8's construction is newer than the Galaxy S6's, but it is just a little heavier and just a little bit thicker. The Samsung Galaxy S6 counts with a much better looking screen than iPhone 8, because it has a much higher 2560 x 1440px resolution, way more pixels per inch of screen and a little larger display.
IPhone 8 counts with a much greater storage for applications and games than Galaxy S6, because it has 256 GB internal memory. Apple iPhone 8 counts with a processor that's just as good as the Galaxy S6 one, and although the Apple iPhone 8 has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, a lower number of cores and less RAM memory, they both have a 64-bits processor.
Galaxy S6 has a very superior battery life than iPhone 8, because it has a 2550mAh battery size. The iPhone 8 shoots clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor taking worse quality photos and videos, a lot lower resolution camera and a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S6, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S6. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S6, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
