IPhone 8 has a global score of 85, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S6 edge+'s global score of 79.3. IPhone 8's design is way newer and just a bit lighter, but also a bit thicker than the Galaxy S6 edge+. Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a more vivid display than iPhone 8, because it has a lot better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, way more pixels per display inch and a bigger screen.
The iPhone 8 counts with a more powerful processing unit than Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has less RAM memory, it also counts with a higher number of cores and a 64-bits CPU. Apple iPhone 8 has a superior storage to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has more internal memory.
The Apple iPhone 8 shoots a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because although it has a lot lower resolution back facing camera, a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking worse quality videos and images and a worse video quality, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture for better low-light photography and video.
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a very superior battery performance than Apple iPhone 8, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S6 edge+, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S6 edge+. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy iPhone 8, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S6 edge+, letting go a couple features and specs.
