Galaxy A8 Star is a bit better than Galaxy S6 edge+, having an 82.1 score against 79.3. Both of these devices have Android OS, but the Galaxy A8 Star has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S6 edge+ has Android 5.1, so it provides a couple additional features. The Galaxy A8 Star construction is incredibly newer, but heavier and a little bit thicker than Galaxy S6 edge+.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a greater amount of RAM and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ features a much better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a higher screen pixels density.

Galaxy A8 Star has a much greater storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 400 GB. The Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy A8 Star both feature incredibly similar cameras, because although the Galaxy A8 Star has a smaller camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, and they both have a 16 mega pixels back camera, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low light photos and videos.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
