Comparison review

LG Velvet has a general score of 87.1, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S9's 83.3 general score. LG Velvet's construction is a lot newer and a little thinner, but just a bit heavier than the Galaxy S9. The Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a bit sharper display than LG Velvet, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 and a higher pixel count per screen inch.

The LG Velvet has much more storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S9, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal storage. Galaxy S9 has just a little better hardware performance than LG Velvet, although it has 2 GB less RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores.

LG Velvet features a much longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S9, because it has a 43 percent greater battery size. LG Velvet has a better camera than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rate and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light captures and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the LG Velvet also counts with a much larger sensor capturing much better quality photographs and videos and a much better resolution back facing camera.

Although LG Velvet is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S9. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy LG Velvet, else you can save some money and get the Galaxy S9, letting go a couple features and specifications.
