Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a score of 85.7, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S9's overall score of 83.3. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's body is lighter and thinner than Samsung Galaxy S9, even though it was released 3 years before. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has a bit smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, it also counts with a bit greater display density.
The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a 64-bit processor and a graphics processing unit. The Galaxy S9 features a much better camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a back camera with a lot worse 12 MP resolution, it also counts with a much larger aperture to take better photos and video in low-light environments and a bigger camera sensor providing a better image quality.
The Galaxy S9 features a bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that admits up to 400 GB. Galaxy S9 has just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 15 percent bigger battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S9. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Samsung Galaxy S9, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
