Galaxy S9 has a global score of 83.3, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy S8 Active's global score of 81.9. The Galaxy S9 is a thinner and lighter phone than the Galaxy S8 Active, even though both were only released with a couple months difference. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and Samsung Galaxy S9 both have incredibly similar displays, both of them have the same pixel density, a same size screen and the same 1440 x 2960 resolution.
Galaxy S9 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S8 Active. They have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy S9 features a bit more memory to install games and applications than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 400 GB.
Galaxy S9 has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have a same resolution back-facing camera, a 0.39 inches camera sensor and the same (4K) video quality, the Galaxy S9 also has a bigger aperture for better low light captures and video and faster 60 fps video frame rate.
