The Xperia 1 has a score of 82.6, which is much better than the Galaxy Xcover 4S's overall score of 73.8. Although Xperia 1 and the Galaxy Xcover 4S were released with only 2 months difference, the Xperia 1 construction is somewhat thinner but a bit heavier than the Galaxy Xcover 4S. The Xperia 1 has a superior processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4S, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Xperia 1 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Xcover 4S, because although it has a way less MP camera, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to capture better low-light captures and video and a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition. The Xperia 1 has better battery performance than Galaxy Xcover 4S, because it has a 19 percent bigger battery capacity.
