Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has an overall score of 74.6, which is much better than the Galaxy Y's score of 46.9. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is a way newer and noticeably thinner cellphone than Galaxy Y, but it's notably heavier. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a more recent 10 version and Galaxy Y has Android 2.3 version.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has an incredibly better screen than Samsung Galaxy Y, because it has a lot better 1080 x 2340 resolution, a much greater screen pixel density and a way bigger screen. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a much greater performance than Samsung Galaxy Y, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with more CPU cores.
