Samsung Galaxy Y is a decent quality Android cellphone released back in the year 2011, which features a small sized 3" touch-screen, a 2 mega-pixels back facing camera and a powerful processor clocking at 832 MHz. Let's take a closer look at what this phone can give us.
Samsung decided to build this cellphone using a great performance processing unit speeding at 832 MHz. To handle graphic calculations, it also has an ARM Mali-400 MP1 GPU working at 320 megahertz. This phone counts with a 163,84 MB internal storage, which could be enough for some users considering that this cellphone also has a slot for SD memory cards to store songs, pictures and videos and even some applications that allow being installed in the external memory.
This time, it seems like Samsung decided not to care much about the weight in this 3.44 oz cellphone. Though this cellphone has 4.09 inches long, it only contains a smaller 3 inches screen. Whereas this phone is thin and comfortable it's not even close to being one of the thinnest phones currently available, with a thickness of 0.45".
This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
This cellphone provides Wi-Fi connectivity (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G connection type, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card for GSM connection.
This cellphone has only a 2 megapixels back facing camera. This phone also shoots videos in 320x240 (QVGA) at 15 fps. In addition, the camera has smile detection shooting.
This cellphone also comes with a few nice characteristics like Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Geolocation, and a few sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.
This phone packs a 1200 mAh small sized Li-Ion replaceable battery providing this phone with a not very long battery duration. Samsung afirms this cellphone has a 17 hours talk time and a 850 hs stand by time.
This phone is very overvalued considering it is priced 230 dollars, while many similar cellphones are being sold for much less than that.
