Samsung Galaxy Y Review

Samsung Galaxy Y is a decent quality Android cellphone released back in the year 2011, coming with a powerful processing unit clocking at 832 MHz, a 2 megapixels back side camera and a 3-inches multi touch display. Samsung decided to sell this phone with a fast processor running at 832 megahertz. The Y has a 163,84 MB internal storage memory, a low quantity that might be adequate for some users having that this phone also has an external memory card slot to store photos and videos.

This phone doesn't feel very lightweight for a cellphone of this size, with a weight of 3.44 ounces. Whereas this phone is quite slim it's not so thin as many other devices you can find, with a thickness of 0.45 inches. Whereas the Y is as big as 4.09" long, it only packs a way smaller 3" screen.

This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This cellphone is equipped with only a 2 mega-pixels back facing camera. It can also shoot 320x240 QVGA videos at 15 fps. To complete the camera, it also features smile detection shooting.

The Y includes WiFi connectivity (although it can't be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G data connection, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM services.

The Samsung Galaxy Y counts with a mediocre 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides the Y a not very long battery life. Samsung afirms this device has a stand by time of 850 hs and a talk time of 17 hs.

This cellphone also includes some useful features such as Bluetooth and GPS (Global Positioning System), and some sensors likeProximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This device is priced around 110 dollars, expensive for comparing with similar cellphones.
