Nokia E7 Review

Nokia E7 is a decent quality Symbian cellphone released back in 2010, featuring a good processor speeding at 680 megahertz, a 4" multi-touch screen, and two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. Is that all? No, it's just the starting point.

This cellphone is a little bit thick compared to today's cellphones, with its 0.54 inches thickness. Nokia sells this device in a wide range of colors: gray, orange, green, blue and white. It appears that Nokia didn't care about the weight at all, leaving it live with a weight of 6.21 ounces.

The Nokia E7 includes a interesting 640 x 360 4" display, which makes everything look quite nice. This display uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

Nokia decided to build this cellphone using a quite powerful processor running at 680 MHz with only 256 MB RAM memory. This device has a 16 GB interesting internal storage memory and though it doesn't include an external memory slot, it should be enough to store a couple hundred applications and games, although it might not be enough if you are fan of the heaviest games available nowadays or taking tons of photos and videos.

The Nokia E7 features two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front facing camera. Its back-facing camera lens has a maximum f/2.8 aperture so it has a lot of trouble taking sharp photos in low lighting environments. It is capable of capturing 1280x720 HD videos at 25 frames per second. The camera also includes some good characteristics like face detection shooting, flash and geo tagging.

This phone packs a 1200 mAh small sized Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep this device running for many hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it after some moderate use. According to Nokia, the Nokia E7 has an aproximate 432 hs stand by time and a 9 hs talk time.

This device includes wi-fi connectivity (although it can't be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and fast 3G connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Nokia E7 works with a SIM card to connect to GSM networks.

This cellphone also features some cool characteristics as Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Localization, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Nokia E7 costs $ 79, a really high price for this kind of cellphone.
