Motorola Defy Review

Motorola Defy is a mid-end Android device, with a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera, a 800 megahertz CPU and a medium sized 3.7 inches multi touch display.

The Motorola Defy feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, with a weight of 4.16 ounces. The Motorola Defy just has 4.21 inches long, but it still manages to hold a 3.7 inches display. This phone is a bit thick compared to today's devices, with a thickness of 0.53 inches.

The Motorola Defy ships with a TI OMAP 3630 chip, holding a fast 800 MHz processor and 512 MB RAM memory. Graphic rendering generally uses lots of processing power, so it has a 200 MHz PowerVR SGX530 GPU to unload the CPU. This phone has a 2 GB internal memory, a passable amount that should be fine for the average user considering the Motorola Defy also has an SD memory slot .

This cellphone has only a 5 MP back side camera. It is capable of shooting 640x480 VGA videos. To complete the camera, it also features a couple of interesting features like flash, digital image stabilization and auto-focus.

This phone has WiFi connection (which can be shared with other devices acting as a wireless modem) and fast 3G data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card for GSM carriers.

The Motorola Defy also comes with a couple cool features as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), GPS Geolocation and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Motorola Defy is really overpriced considering it costs 149 dollars, and many similar cellphones are offerred way cheaper than that.
