Samsung Focus S Review

Samsung Focus S is a nice cellphone released in September 2011, with a processing unit clocking at 1400 megahertz, a 4.3-inches multi-touch screen, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front facing camera.

The Samsung Focus S feels much lighter than what you would expect from a phone this size. This phone is just 0.33 inches thick, making it one of the thinnest devices you can find.

Samsung designed this device with a good looking 4.3-inches screen, and a 800 x 480 resolution, which makes everything look great. Its screen uses Super AMOLED Plus capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

Samsung decided to equip this phone with a powerful 1.4 gigahertz processing unit. A good advantage of the Samsung Focus S is its quite big 16 GB internal storage memory and although it doesn't have an external SD slot, it is enough to store hundreds of applications and games, although it might not be enough if you are fan of the largest games currently available.

This cellphone features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 1.3 megapixels front facing camera. It can also capture videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 29 frames per second. Additionally, the camera features flash.

The Samsung Focus S packs a mid capacity 1650 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that provides this phone a quite short battery life. This cellphone has an estimated talk time of 6.5 hs and a stand by time of 250 hs.

This phone has wifi connectivity (and it can share it with other devices around, acting as a wireless modem or router), HSPA+ 4G data connection, that is not as fast as LTE networks and fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM services.

This phone also features some cool characteristics as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

Samsung offers this phone for 95 dollars, which is a rather high price for a phone this level. If you need a cellphone to majorly use social networks, this phone is probably a very good choice for you.
